Jenna & Adam’s Quarantimes Microwedding

Full disclosure that I am completely and unabashedly biased when it comes to this wedding.  Jenna has been a good friend for years and she has a smile that you can see and FEEL from a mile away. One of my favorite things about Jenna is how she looks at me when we haven’t seen each other for a while or (especially) when I’m telling a silly story - she is genuinely interested in, and tickled by, who I am.  That warmth is so genuine that it is wholly unsurprising that she ended up finding a similarly genuine and warm man in Adam.  Adam is a bit quieter, but his absence of words isn’t an absence of care. Instead, he observes, thinks about, and thus respects and honors the people in his life.  He doesn’t take friendship lightly and like Jenna, when he engages with you his eyes literally crinkle and sparkle with interest.  Together they just make sense, and together they engage with the world from a place of kindness and respect and with a big dose of adventure and wonder. As you can tell by my vociferous praise, I love these two very much, and I was very honored to be asked to document their wedding day - especially since Jenna is a talented photographer and artist herself.  COVID obviously threw a wrench in their wedding plans but I can’t imagine any other iteration of their day being more perfect.  A walk through the streets of their beloved Cambridge, a lovely ceremony with their dog at their feet in the backyard, and a classy dinner party at one of their favorite restaurants.  Everything they wanted, nothing that they didn’t need.  This pandemic has drastically impacted the wedding industry, and while I obviously wish I could be working more, ultimately I hope that the focus on smaller & more intimate gatherings continues.  Because days like this?  Man, there’s nothing better.

Much love to the awesome humans (and one dog) who made this all happen!  We love you, J&A!  To adventures.
